Sankalpa is an architect and program chair for Master's in Architectural Tectonics at the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University in Ahmedabad, India. He co-founded Thumbimpressions, a design practice that prioritizes environmental concerns and craftsmanship. His architectural studio encourages students to experiment and explore through modeling and detailing techniques. Sankalpa's research focuses on developing an aesthetic that integrates industrial and natural materials, such as bamboo and steel, to address the environmental crisis. He has extensive experience in bamboo-based projects across India, has conducted national-level workshops, and delivered lectures on bamboo as a building material. He is a lifetime member of the Bamboo Society of India.
